Drudge today referenced an LA Times article about Dr. William F. Harrison. Dr. Harrison has delivered 6,000 babies while also terminating 20,000 other babies lives.
I quote one section of the article:
He calls himself an "abortionist" and says, "I am destroying life."
But he also feels he's giving life: He calls his patients "born again."
"When you end what the woman considers a disastrous pregnancy, she has literally been given her life back," he says.
After 20,000 abortions, saying "I am destroying life" is a sure sign of someone whose conscience is close to gone. Just enough there to admit what he is doing, but not enough to stop. It's sad that he destroys a life that has done nothing to him. Not threating him, attempting to kill him, or any other action that could be deemed killing in self-defense.
Born again? Doubtful it's anywhere near Jesus' version:
In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” (John 3:3, NIV)
I pray Dr. Harrison someday finds true born again status that Jesus spoke of to Nicodemus. Before it's too late.

It's interesting that the prochoicers haven't been publicizing this article. The prolifers have been blogging about it left and right.

Wow. Definitely seems that his conscience has been seared and numbed. His appropriation of religious language in rationalizing is actions is very... interesting.
