I had been on a waiting list to be at a Ted Kennedy lecture here in Louisville on Monday. I intended to be a closet conservative in the lecture's audience. After actually receiving tickets on Wednesday, I received today an email stating the following:
The McConnell Center has learned Senator Kennedy is postponing his visit to the University. Senator John Kerry will attempt a filibuster to block the nomination of Judge Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court - Senator Edwards plans to support him in this effort. The Senator hopes to reschedule his visit before the end of this semester.
Yes, the "Senator Edwards" was a typo of the McConnell Center.
Captain's Quarters has written about Kerry's desire to drag his party into a squabble. Ted will be joining Kerry in his losing efforts.
