Our local cable company, Insight Communications, has been upgrading their broadband infrastructure over the past month. I myself spent 72 hours without broadband service. Others spent over a week without it.
The company is now looking at a legal suit that has been requested to receive class-action status. Ouch!
"For the layperson, there's no simple answer" to what went wrong when Insight switched from an AT&T network to its own, company spokeswoman Sandy Colony said.
Their recent advertising has been profusely apologizing for the outages that occurred. However, I do think customers deserve a better description than this.
