"Be fruitful and multiply"

So said God to Adam and Eve, as recorded in Genesis 1:28. 

I've always had a feeling that liberals would prefer not to take anything of the Bible literally.  They sure haven't when it comes to multiplying.

In a 2004 General Social Survey, it was found that a sample of 100 liberal people would have 147 children among them.  Among 100 conservatives, you'd find a group of 208 kids.  A whopping 41% "fruitful" gap.

So, what's that got to do with politics?  Consider this: statistically 80% of kids follow in their parent's political footsteps.  The Opinion Journal article spells out several statistics that don't bode well for a liberal future.  It gets worse.  That 41% fertility gap is widening by over a half of a percentage point a year. 

To rephrase the end of the article, it does look like Republican politicians will have more babies to kiss.
