I head for home tomorrow, thru 9 hours of Southwest short-hops. But before I get the pleasure of that, I figured I'd point out comments on 2 politically bad ideas out there.
1) McCain-Feingold: Captain Ed at Captain's Quarters discusses the 60-day blackout period starting up concerning advertisements against political opponents. Sad to consider that we collectively as a nation are losing our first amendment rights to the likes of such lousy legislation.
2) California Single-Payer Medical Insurance: Looks like California is joining Canada in providing insurance for it's citizens. Anyone in Canada want to talk Sacramento out of it?
Hopefully there's no nutty things like these awaiting me back home in Louisville!

Did you read where Gov Fletcher announced his "solution" to the tragedy at Bluegrass Field? His proposal was to simply shut down the runway in question. Who needs a general aviation runway anyway?
From the viewpoint of a conservative who voted for him, he has been an incredible disappointment.
