The week of elections is sure a fun time to take off from work. Today, as I worked around the house, I noted a LOT of phone calls coming through with toll-free numbers and names of survey companies. I let them all roll through to voice mail.
I then came across one call from an anonymous number that I also let roll over. I wondered what political group wanted to be anonymous. Then I heard the message. These guys and gals WANT to remain anonymous? If so, what are they trying to hide? And do they mind being missed by all those who have anonymous call block turned on?
Consider their message of homosexual support for Steve Brashear as you vote tomorrow in Kentucky's general election. In favor or neutral on this issue? Steve may just be your guy. If not, keeping Ernie may be your move. In either case, head for the polls tomorrow.
Update: The tail end of the message mentions fairness.org as tho they are the sponsor of the automated call, mentioning to visit their website. However, their website mentions that these are calls not made by them. Interesting. Granted, if the call is not made by them, it is truly dirty politics. But I would like to know which parts of the call they disagree with.
