Library Tax Supporter On Council Stepping Down

The C-J is reporting that Ellen Call of the 26th Metro Council District is not running for re-election.  You may remember her as a staunch supporter of the recent library tax proposal.

As noted by The Bridge, this opens up a possible seat for democrats to gain in the next election.  However, considering the praise the CJ article gives her ("a Republican on the Louisville Metro Council who has shown a willingness to work with her Democratic colleagues"), she may well be the best example of a RINO our Metro Council has.
