Somehow I think Subway restaurants just lost a bigger customer base then they realize, with their latest contest.
Contest is open only to legal US residents, over the age of 18 with children in either elementary, private or parochial schools that serve grades PreK-6. No home schools will be accepted.
Considering their spelling mistakes, they might need more home schoolers in their employ. Take these 2 examples from the text in their contest:
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Contest is open only to legal residents of the Untied States who are currently over the age of 18 and have children who attend elementary, private or parochial schools that serve grades PreK-6. No home schools will be accepted.
Untied States? Where exactly is that?
And one of the things the grand prize winner could receive?
Scholastic Gift Bastkit for your home.
What exactly is a Bastkit? What does one use it for?
Considering that home schooled kids have won a fair amount of spelling bees, these guys sure could use them in their national office. Their local stores may not, however, be seeing them considering the home schoolers may just feel a little slighted.
Update: The more I have thought about this, the angrier I've gotten. If you, like me, are a little bothered by this, leave them a comment here.
