Take a read of Ed Morrissey's Hotair post Desperation from Democrats. He makes the case well that the dems are desperate, and they got that way quickly.
The only case to be made that approaches legitimacy is the so called "Troopergate" issue concerning all the things occurring around the firing of Sarah Palin's brother-in-law. Some points as to why he was fired:
Troopers eventually investigated 13 issues and found four in which Wooten violated policy or broke the law or both:
• Wooten used a Taser on his stepson.
• He illegally shot a moose.
• He drank beer in his patrol car on one occasion.
• He told others his father-in-law would “eat a f’ing lead bullet” if he helped his daughter get an attorney for the divorce.
Wow! Alaska's Child Protective Services ought to be on the first one. Environmentalists on the 2nd one. Doing not just 1, or just 2, but 4 things like this is definitely a firing offense. Actions like that are a discredit to the uniform he wore.
Come on, dems. Very flimsy arguments.
