There's so much to be said about Senator John McCain's choice of Governor Sarah Palin as his vice presidential running mate. The simplest thing to say: Great Choice!
Great choice on numerous fronts:
1) Conservatives are now actually on fire for the ticket in ways they were not before. Prior to her selection, many like myself were finding ourselves holding our nose to vote for John McCain.
2) Of the 4 running on the 2 tickets, 3 are Senators (McCain, Obama, and Biden). We now have someone with executive experience on a ticket.
3) Someone on the ticket now with comparable youth to Obama himself.
4) Someone with more experience. Consider that she has served 4 years on the Wasilla, Alaska city council, 6 years as mayor of Wasilla, and now 2 years as governor. That's 12 years by my math. Barack Obama? 7 years in Illinois state senate, 3 years in U.S. Senate. 10 years, none in an executive position.
5) Very pro-life, and has lived with that decision.
I have so much more to say, and I'm sure you'll hear it (or read it)! I must say, kudos John. You've shown that making tough choices is something you can do.
