Tyson does away with Labor Day

The US has been celebrating Labor Day since September 5, 1882 according to Wikipedia.  However, Tyson Foods in Shelbyville TN thinks it is not worthy of celebrating any longer.  They have around 700 Muslim employees, mostly from Somalia.  They will be celebrating Eid-al-Fitr instead.  The Shelbyville TN plant also has a prayer room for the Muslim employees.  This appears to be only the union employees and only at this plant.   Here is the demographics for Shelbyville TN , in 2000.   Very interesting.
