Actions speak louder than words. Note the flags in trash bags. These were the American flags used during the Invesco Field Barackopolis ending of the Democratic Convention.
These so called green advocates, caring about every environmental step in the convention process, cared little about that environmentalism when it came to the Stars and Stripes. Maybe they should have noted section 176(k) of the United States Flag Code: "The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning. " This sure isn't dignified.
Luckily, workers at Invesco Field rescued these flags. They will be used in a Colorado Springs event of the McCain/Palin campaign. Veterans will bring them onstage.
I wonder if Barack's lapel pin from the convention was buried in this pile?
