On his radio show today, Sean Hannity passed on a swirling rumor about a Democratic ticket October surprise. This entails a post-debate switch of VP candidates. This year's debate is October 2nd at Washington University in St. Louis.
The going rumor, as mentioned also at Women For Sarah Palin, has Barack Obama dumping Joe Biden for Hillary Clinton sometime after the above mentioned debate. Hannity suggests some sort of plausible excuse might be floated, like health, to back the need to switch candidates.
Rather intriguing thought. On a positive side, that means all those Hillary supporters now backing John McCain have a reason to switch back. On the negative side, as mentioned by snopes.com, "Whatever boost Barack Obama's campaign might conceivably gain by swapping Joe Biden for Hillary Clinton just a month before the general election might also be more than offset by criticism that such a last-minute switch demonstrated poor decision-making ability and was indicative of a weak and vacillating presidential candidate."
Most of us on the right don't need any more evidence to know of Obama's "poor decision-making ability" and his ability to be a "weak and vacillating presidential candidate". We'll sure get more evidence to back up these opinions without a VP switch.
Time will tell....a very short time at that. Will it happen? Only "The One" knows, and those disciples close to him. It would be rather interesting to see what happens within the campaign if many outside the campaign already thought it would happen.
