By now, you've seen the Youtube videos catching Barack Obama's tax plan. Just a little of the transcript:
"Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?" the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed "more and more for fulfilling the American dream."
"It's not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success too," Obama responded. "My attitude is that if the economy's good for folks from the bottom up, it's gonna be good for everybody ... I think when you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."
"not that I want to punish your success"???? He may not want to, but that is effectively what his tax plan would do.
Does anyone reading this WANT to succeed? Maybe seriously want to succeed? How does it feel, knowing that more of your money gets taken away as you make more?
Barack is NOT saying, by his comment, that he's trying to help people out necessarily. What he is saying is that he's trying to level everyone out. If this were grade school, why have some with A's and B's and some with D's and F's? Why not give them all C's?
If we're all gonna get money from the government anyway, why try to succeed? Just kick back and be a couch potato. Let the taxed fat cats take care of you.
Sadly, after awhile, the fat cats would all be gone to somewhere less taxing. Leaving us with a wrecked economy and a welfare state. Exactly the type of thing happening now in Denmark.
Not exactly the thing to mirror from a European country.
