Should Senate bill 773 (Cybersecurity Act of 2009) be enacted, you and I just might be seeing more of this appearing:
Yeah, I know, a little over the top maybe. But Chris Muir's graphic does bring home the point that many enacted laws, in the wrong hands, can bring about some unintended actions. Could this happen with this legislation? And would a leader of the executive branch go this far? Something to think about.

Maybe you've heard the story. In one of those emails passed around from friend to friend. About Mars appearing like a full moon come August 27th. Sorry to disappoint you, but it's a hoax.
For the 6th year in a row, the emails have been flying about Mars being "really really big" this year. As with most stories, there is a element of truth to it. Way back in 2003, August 27th to be exact, Mars reached the closest it would get to Earth in 60,000 years. It appeared in the sky 6 times larger and 85 times brighter than it usually does, but not anywhere near the size of a full moon. Even with my small telescope, one could make out the frozen poles on the Martian surface.
Anyway, no chance of that this year.

According to this article, Cheney was more influential in Bush's first term than in his second term. Maybe if Bush had listened to Cheney more during his second term the Republicans would not have lost in 2006 and 2008. Instead, Bush frittered away his political capital, alienated conservatives, and, at the end, paved the way for Obama's socialist agenda.

As noted by Instapundit's Greg Reynolds, "protest is patriotic, and dissent is the highest for of patriotism!" Liberals have taught us this.
With that in mind, the Operation Embarrass Your Congressman is up and running, with their battle plan here. A perfect plan for their August recess.
Some of these congressman need very little help in being embarrassed. Just a camcorder in their presence.
