I did make it to tonight's town hall with John Yarmuth. I ended up in a spill over room watching it on a big screen, just before the fire marshal said "no more!".
Ironically, the one thing that stood out for me from this town hall had little to do with health care or health insurance. At one point, John re-iterated twice that he is a strong supporter of public financed campaigns.
Interesting that he should bring up public financed campaigns. I'm sure he's meaning that all campaigns should be publicly financed, not just the presidential campaign. I'm thinking he should' have talked to the highest ranking member of his party: President Barack Obama. Let's ask him what he did with public financing. As in promising to use it, then back away from that promise.
Personally, I think it's all about control. Controlling political campaigns and controlling health care. More evidence that my representative does not represent my views.
