Pamela Anderson and PETA are making another statement against KFC. This time, they're asking Governor Ernie Fletcher to remove a bust of Colonel Sanders from the Kentucky state capitol in Frankfort.
The Governor's communications director, Brett Halle, told CNN:
We understand that people have a passion for their causes, but Harland Sanders
is a beloved man, and as far as this state is concerned, he exemplifies the best
of Kentucky. The governor has no intention of moving his statue. If we were
going to move it, it would be to a more prominent position where more people
could see it.
Way to go Ernie and Brett! Harland Sanders life is a great success story. As a fellow Kentucky Colonel myself, I can truly say we take pride in what his life represents.
PETA's beef is with the current KFC processes, not the Colonel himself. PETA, get over it!
